My atheist music database occasionally garners some response...

First, I received this out of the blue:

first of all, that is not my real address, i'm just using his computer..
mine is schnebe3@pilot.msu.edu. i think you have a real problem and a
warped mind....GET A LIFE!

Not realizing how earnest he was, I sent back this fairly polite quickie:

Well, I suspect I've already got a better one than you...

Then surprisingly, I got this only a minute later!

why do you have to be so paranoid about the lyrics of music, they were
created for a reason, not to promote atheism. if that's all you look at,
you're sick and wrong, enjoy music for what it is, music and just plain
music

Well now I was interested, so I had to prove my point:

Actually, quite a lot of music WAS written to "promote" atheism, or at
least put down the stupid supernatural superstitions that so many brain-dead
idiots seem to be so deranged by. Too much damage has been caused to the
earth and its inhabitants by ignorant religious self-righteous morally
pure judgemental assholes to ignore.

Are you suggesting that this HUGE philosophical topic should be ignored
by musicians and poets? If so, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT, JERK????

And in case you're not too brain-dead to read English, read this and
try and show that it DOESN'T PROMOTE ATHEISM or at least doesn't
PUT DOWN YOUR ASSHOLE GOD:

At this point I quoted all the James lyrics from the database,
which I won't reprint but you can see here.

Then he seemed to be getting more incoherent:

are you trying to let people know that these songs contain atheistic
material so they won't listen to them, if so, my other messages are valid.
if you are just posting them to do it, go ahead, i don't care

To which I responded with:

Your subject line says it all. Confused. Hardly surprising. Most religious
types are very confused. Very limited understanding of the world, its
inhabitants, and the universe.

This must be because you rely on a several-millenia old book for guidance.
Well guess what. Things have changed since then. Open your eyes, dickhead.

Oh right, exactly, that's why I tell people NOT TO LISTEN TO THE
MUSIC IN MY DATABASE!!!

Seriously, most people who peruse my database do it because they are
interested in music of interest to atheists (or plain old Christian-bashers).
Can you understand that?

>if you are just posting them to do it, go ahead, i don't care

This sentence makes no sense. But you do care, or you wouldn't have been
mailing me all these dumb messages...

Speaking of getting a life, you're doing this at 10:30 pm Friday night.
It's 7:30 my time, I'm about to go out to dinner with my girlfriend.

Nuff said.

Well I didn't hear back any more, maybe he went and got himself a life after all!

Though I did send him a copy of my Standard Response to Asshole Christians, which you can read here.

Anyone else up for a battle of wits?
